Since the beginning of the 14th Five-Year Plan, Chaoyang District has taken the lead in connecting 29 main waterways spanning 214 kilometers in the city, creating a "Chaoyang Water Network" comprised of "one vertical and four horizontal" lines. From the light and shadow show at the Platinum Palace Lock on the Liangma River to the 3D projection on the Gaobeidian section of the Tonghui River and the "Scroll Painting of the Grain Transport on the Tonghui River", with a series of digital projects, Chaoyang makes canal culture tangible, perceivable, and actionable, beyond time and space.
